"My toddler won't eat!" Placemats

Does your toddler live on bread and cheese? ;) Give these a shot!

I like to laminate mine, but putting them in sheet protectors works great if you don't have access to a laminator!

Instructions for "Feed a Friend": Have your toddler pick up a piece of food with his or her fingers or fork and feed the animal before feeding himself. You can also write out the names of the animals or draw each color on small pieces of paper and put them in a hat. Draw each color or name and have your child choose a food for that animal and feed it, then feed himself. Toddlers love using their imagination! Make it fun by talking about which animal likes their broccoli, which likes carrots, and so on!

Instructions for "Lion Bit or Mouse Bite": Place small bites of food on the mice and large bites on the lions. The child gets to choose which bites he or she takes and in what order, until the whole placemat is cleared! Another fun option is to use a dry erase marker, or coins of some sort. The child keeps his food on his plate. Each time he's going for a bite he decides if it's going to be a Lion Bite or Mouse Bite. If it's a lion bite, he crosses off a lion or puts a coin on one, and if it's a mouse he does likewise. He continues this until every animal is colored out or has a coin on top! You can also do a similar game as the placemat above, where you create 2 cards, a mouse and a lion, and have the toddler pic a paper from a hat to see which type of bite has to be next.

I promise you that your toddler will love these, and you'll love that they're finally eating their veggies! Check out more placemats here
